New Year’s provides the perfect reason to get in touch with your patient database and reactivate them into care. Don’t miss that opportunity.

Most practices have a database of dormant patients that are just lying there slowing wasting away.  These are people that have experienced your services and know, like and trust you. Such people are easy to work with as they will accept your recommendations readily. They just need a reason to reach out.

Tapping into New Year’s resolutions can give them that reason.  We all know that many people soldier on, putting up with all sorts of aches and pains.  But New Year’s is a time when they decide to make changes for the better. It’s a logical time to reach out.

As such, send an email to your patient database notifying them of a free screening or some sort of offer where you give them the chance to deal with those niggling pains.  Email is the quickest, but if you’re old school you can do a literal mail out.

Here’s an example:

I hope you had a great Christmas.  Can you believe the New Year is upon us!

Lots of people make New Year’s resolutions round about now, deciding to make a change for the better with their health.

Feel free to use this example with your database or modify it to suit your style.  It makes no mention of time limited offers so should be AHPRA compliant.

You could even ramp it up to the next level and use a technique we supply to our Workshop Package client practices.  Put together a landing page with a quick self-test checklist that people can do to determine if you’re likely to be able to help them.  Send them a series of emails inviting them to take the test, and then get in touch if they do.
